I’ve been speaking with Wrox/Wiley about some marketing and promotional activities around Professional Visual Studio 2008. One of the things that has come up is the option of making a sample chapter available as a free download. Chapter 1 is already available for download from Wrox, but any one of the other chapters could be made available.
So we’re asking for suggestions as to which chapter we should make available. You can view the list of chapters here, or download the full Table of Contents from Wrox. You should let us know which chapter you’d like to see, by commenting on this post or sending us an email via our contact page.
We’ll also have an announcement in the near future about how you can win free copies of the book as part of a promotional giveaway. This will be open to those who live outside of North America. More details to come very soon.

OMG!! I knew this were gonna be a good book, but reading the table of contents, it totally exceeds my expectations!!
I hope I can win one of the free copies of the book, otherwise I will buy it.
About the free chapter, it was difficult to decide; but I think the chapter that interest me more is the Chapter 32 ASP.NET Web Applications. However I find difficult that you choose this chapter to be free, because it is one of the biggest chapters in the book and I think is one of the main chapters. So, in that case, I would choose Chapter 20 Unit Testing because it is something I want to be involved (I’ve never used unit testing tools); or Chapter 13: Language-Specific Features because I have never have clear the differences between VB.NET and C#.
So, thank you for all the good and hard work!
“Chapter 20: Unit Testing” would be mine choice, too.
The first Chapter “Quick Tour” (currently available for preview) is quite useless to get an impression of the book.
Next in line would be WPF or WCF and WF or a glimpse into one the Debugging chapters.
