Recently the team that is responsible for Visual Studio SDK documentation at Microsoft (which is a part of Visual Studio Ecosystem team) has started a new blog and named it Visual Studio Extensibility User Education (aka VSX UE) where they provide a set of tutorials, articles and walkthroughs for beginners and anyone who’s interested to learn VSX from the base.

They already have published some good posts and I hope they keep this excellent job because it can have a great effect on the community.

One of things that stops many developers from getting in more details about VSX is its complexity at first glance and such articles and tutorials can solve this problem to some extent.

Each year Microsoft seems to be making more of the content from TechEd available for free to everyone.

You can find a bunch of videos from the US TechEd 2007 covering Visual Studio 2008 and the technologies it supports at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/bb655906.aspx. In addition to covering the features that support the bread and butter development (ASP.NET and windows-client), there are also videos covering the newer technologies like LINQ, WPF, WCF, WF, Silverlight, and VSTO.

Now if only I could work out how to sync these to my iPod for my morning commute. Maybe I should have bought a Zune after all…
